ABOUT LOUIS ENSLIN
Pretentious I know, having a domain registered in your own name! But there’s method to the madness, and it’s pretty handy having a central portal to access everything.
For those who don’t know me, I hope you landed here to find out more. After graduating as a sound engineer in 1999 I started mixing live sound for theatre productions, solo acts and bands at most of the major venues and festivals in South Africa, including a trip to the UK with a show in one of the most iconic venues ever, the Cavern in Manchester (where the Beatles pretty much started)
In about 2004 I shifted my career towards studio recording and post-production as a music producer, sound designer and composer. My company, Produce Sound, grew to a 4-suite audio post facility and is a multi-award winning supplier to the South African advertising industry, as well as internationally. I’ve have been involved in numerous start-up business over the years ranging from a radio production company creating 3D Immersive Radio for in Cinema audiences, a app-based book store and even an online frozen Samoosa shop.
In 2019 I completed my Master in Creative Industries degree [Music and Audio Perception] with a distinction through SAE-Institute and Middlesex University in the UK, out of which HearD [multitrack assistive listening technology] was born. I also had the opportunity to lecture Audio Post Production at tertiary level and currently completing my M-Teach degree to persue a career in Secondary Education and inspire young minds.
There’s still a lot to do and achieve and hopefully all these ventures is a stepping stone towards it. Currently Im actively involved in Produce Sound, HearD, Hey Lu and Bright Above. See below and click on the block to visit each of these.
